The person behind Places I Go.
Why I Built Places I Go
In 2019 I noticed a pattern at restaurants: I'd order something that wasn't made the way I expected, or the server would tell me I should have ordered it differently. I wished I could keep track of what I got at each place and how to order it the way I like it — and the same concept went for the electricians, plumbers and contractors I hire.
As an application architect, designer and developer, I built Places I Go so anyone can keep that kind of record: every place, every visit, and what you ordered and how you rated it. Your own tags turn it into lists like your favorite pizza or date-night spots, and road trips build themselves from the places you log along the way.
Sure, there's Google and Yelp, but I wanted a personal version where you control your data and nothing is shared unless you share it with someone yourself.
Every message you send reaches me directly, and what you tell me shapes what I build next. If something's missing or doesn't work the way you'd expect, I want to hear about it.
