Everything you need to know about Places I Go — features, sharing, the trial, and your subscription.
Aggregated Places is a setting you can toggle in the app that rolls chains and multi-location businesses into a single profile. When it's on, every visit to that brand — no matter which location — contributes to one shared rating history, review list, and item chart.
Open an aggregated place to see each location on a map, compare them, or drill into any specific spot for its individual visit history. Turn the setting off if you'd rather track each location as its own separate place.
30 days free, no credit card required. The trial gives you the full app — saving places, logging visits, ratings, reviews, tags, photos, friends, Insights, Trips, and GeoInsights.
The data-driven features get richer the more you use the app, so the trial is the right time to log enough visits and see how Places I Go fits into how you eat, travel, and explore.
A subscription keeps your full access to every feature once the trial ends:
• Insights — custom queries over your visits by tag, rating, distance, and time
• Trips — plan future and show past multi-stop journeys with distances and timelines
• GeoInsights — see every country, state, and city you've visited on a map
• Friends & Recommendations — connect with people you trust and see what they love
These features are designed to get better the more you use the app. Insights need a real history of visits to find your best-rated pizza or favorite Mexican nearby. Trips are richer when you've logged the stops along the way. GeoInsights map the shape of your travels across years, countries, and states. Try them all out during the trial; a subscription keeps full access once you've built up some history.
Your data stays in your account when the trial ends — nothing is auto-deleted, and everything you've saved remains viewable. (You can permanently delete your data at any time by deleting your account.) To keep adding new visits, places, and trips — and to keep using Insights, Trips, and GeoInsights — you'll need an active subscription.
Yes. You can share individual places, whole trips, and geographic insights. Before anything goes out, you see a preview and can toggle exactly what's included — trip name, dates, stats, individual stops, ratings, and more. You control what gets shared. Nothing is shared without your explicit approval.
iOS sharing uses the standard system share sheet — Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or any other app. The recipient doesn't need to use Places I Go; they just see the shared content.
Friends are in-app connections you add by email. When you log a visit, you can invite a friend to that visit — the invite lands inside their Places I Go app, where they can accept, decline, or leave. Your profile and photo are only visible to people you connect with as friends.
Your privacy comes first. Your places, ratings, reviews, photos, and trips are tied to your account — not to a public profile. There are no ads targeting your behavior and no data harvesting. Anything you share goes out only when you approve it, with only the details you toggle on.
Places I Go is an iOS app, designed natively for iPhone and iPad. It uses Apple Maps, Look Around, and other Apple technologies to keep your experience fast and private.
